Spring Forward

Top: Jessica Simpson
Black Pants & Jeans: F21
Sandals: Target
Sweater: Nordstrom

When I think of Jessica Simpson, I think of shoes. Well, I think of Nick Lachey (:(), Newlyweds and chicken of the sea, but I think of shoes as well. Not clothes. And even though I know her clothing line has made millions and millions, I guess I never really put it together that she makes anything other than shoes. When I found this top at TJMaxx, I liked the colors, shape and price (obviously!) and didn't realize till I was in the dressing room that it was by her. I must say I am just as impressed as with her shoes!

On another note, after starting the morning off with black denim, I decided to go with the dark wash denim instead. It seemed to work better with the colors of the top and cardigan. And even though this outfit is more "spring" than "fall", I really liked the way it turned out!

Tuxedo

{Top: F21, Black Cardigan: Nordstrom, Grey Cardigan: F21, Jeans: F21, Flats: Target}

Today was one of those wierd weather days. You know the kind that start off overcast and end up blazing hot. I hate those days because its almost impossible to put together an outfit that works for both extreme temperatures. A tank top and sweater seemed to be the best option. The only thing I couldn't decide on was which sweater to wear. Obviously basic black works, but I decided on the grey and black polka dot one which I thought added a little more interest.

In the Navy

{Sweater: F21, Tank: Nordstrom, Necklace: Jcrew, Jeans: F21, Boots: Steve Madden}

My photographer was not home in time for these photos, thus the awkward blurry self-portraits you see above. This was one of those "didn't shower and get ready till 5pm" type of days and I knew that a tank top and sandals would be too cold. And because it was almost 6pm, and I needed something in a hurry, insert my nighttime/cold weather go to outfit: an oversized sweater and boots. This sweater is actually my sisters, but I love the red and navy color combo just as much as she does.

On another note, I can't believe its only Monday... :(

Faux Fall

 {Top: F21, Necklace: F21, Jeans: F21, Belt: Hollister, Shoes: LOFT}

Andddd I thought my sister had a cute outfit on today, so she let me take her picture too :)

I am aware that it is October. However, I don't think the weather is. It is supposed to be Fall. Why is it still 95 degrees out?? Anyways, dressing for faux Fall isn't as hard as imagined I guess. It is an excuse to break out sundresses and tank tops all over again. Like Summer round 2. On another note, I have been trying to recycle items in my closet (like this top) by wearing them different ways than I have in the past. This can be tricky when you are so stuck wearing clothing a certain way. I think it worked out!

Rainy Day Crochet

{Top: F21, Jeans: F21, Boots: Steve Madden, Belt: Hollister, Bracelets: F21}

I've had this top for quite some time now. Not that that's saying much, since I rarely shop anymore these days. The thing that drew me to it in the store was the crochet detailing on the sleeves and back. And although its not my favorite color to pair with denim (too much blue?), it still is one of my favorite tops I own. It was also an excuse to wear some of my favorite accessories - my boots and red bracelets. My one regret...bringing a jacket. Unplanned rain is always the worst!
