It seems like everywhere you look, someone has feather extensions. They have been a huge trend for spring and have been seen all over the hottest celebrities, and offered at various hair salons. I am not the biggest fan of this trend. I wouldn't necessary say its my style, however, I love feathers!

The Season of Sun, Fun & BBQ's

With Memorial Day just around the corner, it is time to be thinking of the perfect ensemble to wear to appear casual, cool and comfortable. It has started to feel like summer lately with temperatures rising. Don't wait until you receive those BBQ invites to pick out the perfect outfit. The last thing you want to do is be stuck in your closet finding the perfect outfit, or in a mall fighting to find an outfit with practically everyone trying to stay cool in the free AC.
 Going to a bbq, pool party or any outdoor activity can be tricky. You want to be comfortable for the weather, but still look put-together and cute. The easiest option would be to put on your favorite comfy tank top and shorts. Use your go-to jean shorts, or add some interest with a black pair , or even a floral pair. Add sandals and your favorite accessories and you have a complete outfit.

 And of course, no day at the beach/pool/bbq would be complete without the right accessories. And I am not just talking about your puppy or boyfriend. Consider these to be necessities, and not optional. Well, some of them. I am talking about sunscreen, lip balm and sunglasses. Who wants to come home from a day of sun with a burn, chapped lips and premature wrinkles? Not me! Make sure these are in your bag (another necessity!), along with an oversized hat and adorable beach towel. Adding body oil will make your skin look glowy and flawless, and who wouldn't want that? Turquoise bangles are huge for this summer, and easy to put on and take off. They help dress up that tank top/short outfit when everyone wants to go out for dinner after a day at the beach. Consider all of these items as must haves!

Celebrity Inspired - Reese Witherspoon in Water for Elephants

I recently saw the movie "Water for Elephants" with Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson. The movie, though intense at times, was an overall great love story. During the whole movie I could not get over how much I loved the costumes. Set in a circus scene, Reese wears a beautiful ensemble of bodysuits covered in sequins and sparkle. When she was not performing, she still was the epitome of glamour and old hollywood. She wore many long dresses and and 20's inspired pieces.

Spring Wedding Dress Ideas

Spring is the season of weddings. Knowing you will be seeing friends and family means you want to look and feel your best. Depending on the time of the wedding, you can wear something light and airy or something with a touch of sparkle. Just because this is a special occasion, doesn't mean you have to spend a lot of money on it. All of these dresses are under $100!


Daytime weddings are a chance to wear light colors and silky fabrics. Blush tones and cream colors are perfect for a wedding during the day. Try choosing dresses with ribbons, lace or ruffles to maintain interest. Because it might be a warm day, choosing lighter fabrics would be best. You want to be comfortable, but not casual enough to look sloppy. All of these options would work perfectly.

Weddings at night turn into major events. They are an opportuntiy to wear sparkle with sequins, glitter and rhinestones to bring glamour to your look. Steer away from daytime fabrics and details and really showcase your style. You can go all out for an evening wedding because they are a more fancy affair than during the day. Any of these dresses would be glamourous enough to draw attention and look sparkling in photos.

I know I always choose Reese as my celebrity inspiration for outfits, but I love her style and think she does an amazing job picking outfits that anyone can wear. She always looks casual, cute and comfortable. Her outfits have the ability to go from a daytime shopping trip to a dinner date at night with a few changes of accessories. This is one outfit that I think is perfect for spring.

 Try pairing a tiered floral skirt with a sweater for that fun casual vibe. Add flats, oversized shades, a messenger bag and a delicate gold necklace to complete a daytime look. This outfit is perfect for those days you want to have style, as well as comfort.
