All About Leopard

{ Top, Belt & Jeans: F21, Flats: Target }

You know when you have an idea for an outfit in your mind, and you put it on and it doesn't quite look the same..or as good? This was one of those outfits. I was in the mood to wear my leopard flats and thought the red and black contrast paired nicely with them. I just wish this shirt didn't wrinkle so easily!!

Holiday Parties

Tis the season for holiday parties! These can be a dread when you think about what to wear - you want to look appropriate (your boss will be there), but still nice and put together (it may be one of the only times your co-workers see you outside of your office attire. and fluorescent lighting.) Depending on what type of company you work for, various kinds of clothing is appropriate. Whether it be a fancy black tie affair, or a low key casual party, here are some outfit ideas to make your event a little less stressful.

Oh, and my only other advice? Lay off the eggnog! You don't want to be known as the girl who drank too much at the Christmas party and made inappropriate comments to your cubicle mate. When you look put together you won't need to drink away your nerves anyways! ;)

Golden Jewels

{Top: F21, Cami: F21, Jeans: J Brand, Necklace: F21, Boots: Steve Madden}

This top and necklace were some great finds on a recent shopping trip to Forever 21. The top is a neutral cream color, so it is something great to wear year round. This necklace was definitely my most favorite thing I purchased from that day. It is chunky, gold and has the prettiest brown and cream colors. I know I will be wearing both of these a lot. It just goes to show that even though something is inexpensive, doesn't mean you can't make a great outfit out of it!

On another note...after seeing these rather disturbing pictures of my mirror, I busted out the windex after taking these photos. So gross, sorry!

Current Favorites

I thought every once in a while I would do a post on some of my current favorite things. These aren't necessarily giong to be fashion related...just things I have been using and loving lately.

First is Be Enchanted Triple Moisture Body Cream from Bath & Body Works. My sister and I went into B&BW the other day looking for a candle (another one of my favs:)), and was immediately approached by an employee wanting us to try a sample of this lotion. Before I could even hesitate she was squirting a dime size dollop into my hand. I was pleasantly surprised! The scent has hints of pomegranates and berries.  I opted for the cream because I always feel like their lotions aren't moisturizing enough. I was so glad she made me try out this lotion! Now I want to go back and get the body wash, fragrance, etc.

Next is the Leaves candle also from Bath & Body Works. This was the reason I went into B&BW in the first place. This candle had been on my wish list for almost a year now and I could never bring myself to spend $20 on a candle. After much convincing, I finally talked myself into getting one when they were on "sale" for $15. The scent reminds me so much of fall, with hints of cinnamon and spices with an almost sweet smell. The name is a bit confusing, since leaves don't normally have a nice aroma but it definitely gives the premise for what the candle smells like. I was so thrilled with this purchase and have been burning it practically every day since I got it. Oh, and it came with a cute snowflake candle holder that sits on the outside so now I am all ready for the holidays :).

{actual color on my lips...please excuse the extreme close up!}

Next is the Rosegold Lipgloss from Revlon. This lipgloss was an impulse buy while browsing the makeup section at Target. After being tired of all my usual lip products, I wanted a shade bright enough to look like I was wearing lipgloss and subdued enough to be everyday appropriate. The color drew me to this product, and the name solidified it. I am completely obsessed with anything rose gold colored. This shade flatters ANY skin tone and complements any eyeshadow that you could use. I have also been using this everyday since I got it and will definitely repurchase it.

Another favorite found at Target are these Chain Linked Leather Bracelets. I had always admired these bracelets at Target in their glass case. (they must be part of their "higher end" line or something) They looked trendy and expensive, not like you picked them up at your local superstore. When they went on clearance, I knew I couldn't wait any longer and ended up with both the tan and the navy. They were marked down to $3! I couldn't resist. They are my new favorite jewelry and I will be wearing them for a long time.

Lastly is this nailpolish by O.P.I. called "Coney Island Cotton Candy". Now I own a ton of nude polishes. Like, its almost embarrassing to say I would buy any more. However, the other day I was at work and asked a lady what nail color she was wearing. It was the perfect mix of nude and pink and I couldn't stop staring. This was what she was wearing. I made a mental note and had my sister pick it up for me at ULTA. It really is the most flattering nude shade, and one my favorites of all time. I love nailpolish that goes with any outfit and is perfect for any season!

Black & Silver

{Top: LOFT, Jeans: F21, Belt: F21, Boots: Steve Madden, Watch: Guess, Bracelet: F21}

This was one of those "I have nothing to wear!" type of days. It was freezing outside and I wanted to be comfortable but still look put together. I have been wanting to use my silver belt for a while and this seemed appropriate to help break up my almost all black ensemble. I ended up pairing this with a black scarf and a black peacoat and was warm all day. It was definitely not one of my favorite outfits but I was glad I finally put my silver belt to use!
